What if?

In the improving economy we’re seeing at this point in late Spring,  I can’t help but wonder if there are a lot of engineers out there who have stayed in their positions, waiting it out, waiting out their disappointments until times got better. These folks felt hanging on to their jobs was the prudent course even if the pay was poor and the opportunity for advancement was slim to none.

What happens when, as inevitably it will, a recruiter comes knocking? While many employers have not seen an uptick in business volume,  others are starting to plow into new projects and need help to get them done. That means that they’ll be snatching expertise at whatever cost they see fit, which may leave a lot of  status quo HR staffs scrambling to find people to fill sudden vacancies.

If this should happen to you, consider an interim specialist, someone who can hit the ground running instead of an individual baffled and learning on the job.  Spontaneous direct hiring can leave both parties less than satisfied.

Insight Technical Solutions has always offered a contract to direct policy.  Should you need someone to fill a staff opening, we will be happy to provide someone on a interim basis. At the end of six months our clients are welcome to hire that individual directing, and without a recruiting fee (this alone may save tens of thousands of dollars). Further, at the end of the temporary period, both the client and the candidate know the  expectations of the other very well.
